Cutie Baby

I miss babysitting since I've moved to Calgary. I knew so many babies and kids and teens while at home and in N.B., and spend very little time around kiddies here.. which I miss. a LOT. I have been wanting to do some babysitting after work and in the evenings, mostly cuz I love being around kids, and also cuz I could use a lil' extra money. I was holding off putting ads somewhere, cuz I have always at least somehow known the family or 'of' the family before I sit for them.. and too many creepy things happen here.. so ANYway, I got a call from a Mom the other day who had my cell number from when I first moved here... I used to meet her at a park with the kids I babysat at the time so the kids could all play together. She wants me to b-sit on a regular night once a week, and occasional weekends too :) Talk about an answer to prayer. She has 2 kids, one 5 yrs, one almost 3 years; tho' I haven't seen them in over 2 years. I have so many pleasant memories of babysitting growing up, and still love my 'kiddies', tho some are getting SO OLD! ;) I also miss working at the daycare (where I worked during my undergrad). My boss and coworkers tease me now, cuz my fav parts o' the day are when kids and babies come into work... Right now I am WANTing to get into the new Alberta Children's hospital to volunteer; the next session is early November. It's hard to get a spot, as it fills quickly, so keep yer fingers crossed... it'd be so good to have that experience for when I am finished my Master's...


This Lil' guy belongs to one o my friends. He is such a cutie! He is great. He is learning how to say "Amboo" now. It's always Amboo or Apple. :)
